A Silent Cry

A cry is not always audible.
Sometimes it is a sad look,
for a silent cry.

Sometimes it is a lot of talk or laughter to hide the pain,
or an unruly child.

An unheard cry may come from
a rebellious teenager.

A lonely elderly person
Or an unhappy married couple
A person facing great difficulties
or maybe a stranger in town.

The needs of many are not met,
because their cries go unheard.
Lord, make me perceptive to the needs of others.
Make my ears sensitive to the unheard cries of my fellowman.
